Human Resources Advisor - Talent - Hybrid Remote

We're growing our team and have an exciting opening for an HR Advisor, Talent. This role will support our diversity and inclusion initiatives and will have the opportunity to lead work in other aspects of the talent function, including recruitment, on boarding and orientation, learning and development, performance management and employee relations and engagement. The exciting part? We can tailor the role to YOU, depending on your areas of interest, skills and experience. 

Specific accountabilities may include (again, depending on your interests and experience):

  • Implementing strategies, initiatives, and internal/external campaigns to further embed D&I as part of our companies culture;
  • Supporting the development of a talent strategy with our joint ventures in the United States;
  • Designing and facilitating training, including our Supervisor Development Series, annual workplace refreshers including Alcohol & Drug Training, Respectful Workplace training and supervisor bootcamp sessions;
  • Managing and coordinating  student recruitment, mentoring and training programs;
  • Managing  annual performance management process;
  • Leading the planning, communication and rollout of employee engagement and pulse surveys;
  • Providing support and coaching to Vernon Office managers on employee relations matters;
  • Overseeing the configuration and maintenance of  talent systems including recruiting, on-boarding and performance modules in UKG (UltiPro).
  • Leading the configuration, implementation and maintenance of  learning management system.

 

This role is based out of our head office in beautiful Vernon, BC.  It is eligible for our Remote Work Program which would allow you to work remote for a portion of your work week. 


What We’re Looking For:

  • 8-10 years experience within the talent function; HR generalist experience supporting the talent function will be considered
  • Demonstrated experience leading and facilitating training in both in-person and virtual formats
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing and consultation skills with the proven ability to obtain buy-in from all levels of the organization
  • University degree in Human Resources
  • Certified Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) considered an asset
