We are presently looking for an Administrative Receptionist who has the ability to take initiative, prioritize daily tasks, has excellent communication skills and is highly organized and detail oriented. This is a Full–Time position.

We are a member of a funeral home that provides interment rights, cremations, funerals and associated services to families across the country. Established in 1947, the company now comprises of 87 funeral homes, 41 cemeteries and 27 crematoria. 23 of our cemeteries have full-service funeral homes on premises, offering complete services to our client families. Our highly trained professionals at our funeral homes and cemeteries deliver personalized support and customized services to all Canadian families.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing outstanding customer service to the families we serve
  • Answer/make phone calls and greet customers
  • Delegating customer inquiries
  • Performing general office administration functions including processing of cemetery contracts, amendments to contracts, transfers, producing work orders, merchandise ordering/receiving, data entry and various other tasks
  • Following up on completion of work.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of Grade 12 education or equivalent
  • Fluent in English.
  • Previous working experience in office administration is an asset
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office including Word and Excel.
  • Reliable and independent individual who has the proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a timely and effective manner
  • Demonstrates strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented and have strong administrative and data-entry skills

Experience:

  • administrative: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Receptionist: 1 year (Preferred)
