Insurance Broker - Commercial Lines - RIBO Licensed with 3-5 years Experience

Our Mississauga-based client is currently looking for 2 licensed Commercial Lines Insurance Brokers. The first position is for an Intermediate level role, and the second is position is an advanced role. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day activity involving clients; this includes handling  files and maintaining retention targets regularly. The role is also responsible for attaining premium growth by up selling and cross selling appropriate coverage as well as new business.  You will adhere to timelines to acquire expiry dates at the time of policy renewals and dig into leads for potential new business.

You will be required to have experience  within the following commercial lines accounts in Manufacturing, Construction, E&O and D&O, large auto fleets, and other lines of Commercial Insurance. Should you have Real Estate experience, this is considered to be a bonus! 

You Possess:

• Valid RIBO license is required in good standing
• 3+ (Intermediate) 5+ (Senior/advanced) years commercial lines insurance experience with a focus on mid-market accounts
• CIP, FCIP, or CAIB designation or working towards completion is considered an asset
• Strong analytical, organization and time management skills
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
• Able to adapt to an ever changing environment
• Level headed with the innate ability to stay focused and calm when dealing with clients
• Empathetic towards clients, always addressing their needs and putting them first
• Experience with TAM/Epic
• Experience with insurance portals, markets as well as technology including MS Office, platforms, portals, and other software
• Strong understanding of insurance wordings

Responsibilities:

• Cross-selling and up-selling appropriate coverage to new business
• Binding accounts/coverage with insurer
• Maintain professional relationships with key underwriters to ensure maximization of new business growth and retention opportunities
• Make sure your clients needs are met and adhered to
• Navigate through all applicable technology
