Customer Service Representative

Department: Finance

Reports To: Accounting Manager

Employment Type: Temporary, Full-Time (potential for permanent hire after 3 months)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Compensation: $20.50/hour (negotiable based on experience)

 

Position Summary

The Customer Service Representative will provide support to customers through order entry, product inquiries, and account assistance. This role is responsible for processing orders, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering accurate and timely service.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Process customer orders and manage order entry
  • Resolve product or service issues by clarifying complaints, identifying causes, and implementing solutions
  • Handle customer adjustments, refunds, and exchanges
  • Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and mail, ensuring timely resolution
  • Follow established communication procedures, guidelines, and policies
  • Greet customers warmly and provide proactive engagement
  • Verify account information and assist with online account setup
  • Collect payment information and update customer records
  • Provide accurate company and policy information
  • Assist with product recalls and other assigned duties

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Customer support experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong phone skills and active listening abilities
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of financial reporting software (Sage 300 highly preferred)
